Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring a friend or book for a group?

Yes! Although most volunteers arrive alone, we regularly host volunteers that are travelling together too.

Over the past ten years we have hosted friends, couples, sisters, brothers, brother/sister, mother/daughter/ mother/son, father/daughter and father/son combinations on a wide range of projects. We have also looked after family groups, school groups and larger groups of friends.

Please note:

  • If you refer a friend or relative to us, we will reward you with a R500 discount off your fee when we receive their deposit.
  • This discount applies even if they are not travelling with you, or are joining us at a different time.
  • If you are organising a trip for a group, you will either receive a R500 discount for each member of the group that books with us, or in some cases you will join us for free.
  • We can tailor a program to suit the specific needs or focus of your group - please contact us for more information.
